Based in Kansas City, Missouri -- the Chiefs are a professional football team that was established in 1960, back then they played under the American football league Western division, this venture lasted for about nine years (1969) and finally in 1970 they become part of the American couple conference West division where they have stayed until today. The Kansas City Chiefs stadiums are and have been: the Cotton Bowl, the municipal Stadium and the Arrowhead Stadium. The owner of the team is the Hunt family with Clark Hunt as the chairman, the general manager Carl Peterson and the head coach is Herman Edwards.

The Kansas City Chiefs have had a great deal of accomplishments and even though they have not yet won a conference championship they have had several successes when it comes to division championships. They have earned two championships under the American football league West division (1962 and 1966) and they have been four-time champion of the AFC West division (1971, 1993, 1995, 1997 and 2003). They have also been the AFL champions in three different occasions (1962, 1966, 1969) one of which can be considered an AFL-NFL Super Bowl championship (1969)

Glenn Dorsey, a rookie defensive tackle at the Kansas City Chiefs is expected to miss the game against Chicago after spraining his knee in practice during the first week of August. According to the head coach this was an unexpected event and they obviously hate it when this happens to a first round draft but the team hopes are high that Dorsey will be coming back sooner rather than later. Luckily, the MRI showed no other damage to Dorsey's knee that may affect his recovery time and performance.

Regardless of Dorsey's injury to 2008 season is expected to be a great one for the Kansas City Chiefs who have several great players and the ambition to take the team to a whole new level.
